I Am

Which tarot card are you?

The problem with this quiz is there were several questions where it was, "Well, six of one, half a dozen of the other," and my first set of answers gave me The Devil. I definitely didn't feel right about that, so I went back to a few of the answers that I was dickering on and changed them to the other answer. This one still doesn't feel right, but hey.

Monday came too soon. I want to know who's responsible for such things. It was a good weekend, though. I think I managed to catch up on some much-needed sleep (although I may have blown it now; I should have gone to bed earlier last night but got attracted by the Chicken Battle on Iron Chef America), we played some intense Baldur's Gate, met littlecrow, went to see The Corpse Bride (which I seem to have liked more than everyone else did), where we saw a great preview for Goblet of Fire, had an evening snack at the Five & Diner, watched the pilot of Firefly, and even got a little editing done.

I felt the same way about the quiz. I liked my result tho: The Magician.

Random fan question: did the Goblet of Fire preview have Barty Crouch Jr. in it? (I'm guessing probably not.)

I have a pendant of Temperance, but that's mostly because a character is Temperance, not so much me. Maybe Wheel of Fortune works (I'm anything depending on who's living in my head at the moment).

I don't think Barty appears in the preview, but it's hard to say. You get to see fast clips of a lot of things -- the dragon, the three champions, the main characters, etc., and a clip of Mad-Eye (I'm not happy about the design on Mad-Eye), so it's hard to say.

I should probably see if I can find the trailer at Apple or something. Can't wait for the movie.

Lookit this charming flyer that DH found on his windshield at the local Home Depot (this is a scan of the one that Amanda of Pandagon.net got on her car):

Geez, how come you didn't tell me y'all were gonna come here in a bus and stay for a month? Good thing we have a spare room.

This just tells me how scared Gov. Toupee is of Carole Keeton Strayhorn, his Repug challenger for the governorship. Damn, it must be tiring to be used as a bugbear all the time.

I don't remember if I first viewed the preview for this one online or not, but I'm sure it's out there somewhere. I'm kinda eager for this one, too. It looks awesome (of course, I'm also eagerly waiting for Narnia, too). :)

I laughed my butt off at that flyer. Ye gods. I'm glad so far there isn't that much organization amongst the wingnuts in Arizona. I've found that our general neighborhood (from about Osborne to Camelback) is the hotbed of liberalism in Phoenix, but if you stray a few blocks south the wingnuts appear (the Fry's ((Kroegers)) on McDowell always has a hundred cars with "Bush/Cheney" stickers, but the Fry's up on Highland is full of "Kerry/Edwards" stickers).

I was very happy to note after the election that while Texas is the reddest of reds, there was a sharp line of blue in the center, from Austin to San Antonio, and those are the areas where most of my friends/fictional characters come from. :)
