Too Late Sunday Night

Dang it, where did this weekend go? I feel like I just came home on Friday. Phoo.

Doctor Who season finale. Ohmigod. I have to watch the season over and over again until Christmas, when the next new episode shows. GOD, what a great show. I never watched it until I met rahirah, and my first Doctor was Colin Baker. I liked Dr. Who before. I LOVE it now.

I'm behind again on my flist.

Apparently, my CD burner DOES burn CDs, but it will not read them. When I take the discs I burn to rahirah's machine, they work fine. {HEAVY SIGH}

There was no Farscape this weekend because the sleeve from NetFlix which was supposed to hold episodes 16 and 17 from Season Two instead contained the epis 19 - 21 three-parter (which also arrived in its correct sleeve), and we didn't want to skip that far ahead, so I had to ship it back to get the correct disc.

I ate like a pig this weekend. Now I have to go to bed. It's hot and going to get hotter. Happy Summer Solstice this week.

I'm two episodes behind, as I'm virtuously watching on CBC and not downloading or reading...

But yes, I love this Dr Who series!!!

Well, that's why no spoilers! :) But, well, the only option we have is downloading, due to American television assuming we have no interest in a show that's "too British." Yes, like all those other things I grew up with, The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings. Good thing Ed Sullivan didn't deem the Beatles "too British" for an American audience... (Yes, I would have rather watched it on television, comfortable in the living room and on a 25-inch screen...)

I think your CD burner must be related to mine. It keeps insisting I've put in a blank disc when I know perfectly well there's stuff on it. More proof that this computer's on its last legs. *sigh*

So the "Farscape" love continues, eh? I cannot wait for you guys to hit S3. :-)

The weird thing is, my music ripper/burner program reads music discs, and so does RealPlayer, but Windows won't read data CDs or, apparently, music CDs if I attempt to look at music files via Windows Explorer. I doesn't get it. At least it burned what I wanted burned--one disc burned with MP3s instead of music files lasts me all day at work.

Oh, FarScape love definitely continues. It's weird having gone a week without. We were VERY confused by the first part of "Liars, Guns and Money," since we'd accidentally missed two episodes before it.

Computers are not our friends. That's all I have to say.
