Cats, Chairs, and Cars

Today we went out and finally got rahirah a good office chair.

I'm feeling like doing more things, although it's one of them lazy Sunday afternoons. It's surprisingly cool outside (by which I mean mid-90's or so). Yesterday I went to Old Navy to look for those skirts they've been advertising, but they had none of these, so I bought some polo shirts which were on sale and then went to Last Chance and got some platform shoes (and not to channel my inner Pee-Wee Herman, ha-HA!). I also bought a pair of green suede pants I NEEDED, but they are a little too small, so I have more incentive for a few more pounds to go.

I do need to still go out, because we need Comet, or other like scrubbing cleanser. It's a gay, mad whirl. Oh, read today's article by Frank Rich in the NY Times. It's really good.

And just 'cause: Sean Patrick's name (without the space) using Egyptian Hieroglyphs!

Oh, and people are already talking about the most recent Dr. Who, Bad Wolf. We haven't seen it yet, so I'm trying to avoid the conversations. I'm bouncy with anticipation, though. I'm going to go out on a limb and say CE has to be the most popular Doctor since Tom Baker (from what I witnessed of Baker I fandom), and I know I'm going to miss him tremendously. The only thing I have against DT is that he's not CE.

It's beautiful here today... it actually got up into the mid-60s. We'd tossed around the idea of driving out to one of the beaches for a picnic or something, but wound up just being lazy and watching Season One of Babylon 5.

I'm also rereading Howl's Moving Castle, fresh on the heels of our movie-watching experience last night, and remember exactly how much I love it... and how incredibly different the movie wound up being.
