That Feeling When You

...have had a just-this-side-of-mild headache most of the day and just when you think it's gone, it comes back again.

The World's Most Interesting Man is also just plain cool.

Every time Firefox has a major update, it runs ponderously and with a lot of "not responding" and various problems. Urgh. Get it together, Mozilla.

My Windows 8.1 updated and all my Microsoft Office icons and shortcuts disappeared (the programs are still there -- I can get to them through double-clicking the documents, but I can't get to them directly). I have to see if I can contact Windows, since I actually bought it legally, but it was a download, so I have no discs.

I saw this meme and it intrigued me:
Everyone should post their ten most CRUCIAL CRUCIAL CRUCIAL-ASS movies, like the movies that explain everything about yourselves in your current incarnations (not necessarily your ten favorite movies but the ten movies that you, as a person existing currently, feel would help people get to know you) (they can change later on obviously).

But I have no IDEA where to begin here.

True Grit (the original, John Wayne one)
The Meaning of Life
Ran (and by extension, King Lear)
The Harry Potter series (does that count as seven? Or eight?)
Big Fish
Spirited Away
The Lion King
Love, Actually

I think that's reasonably close.

Your story makes me even less inclined to update to Windows 8.1!

I've gotten used to it, but there are some things that make me go "hmmmmm...."

Yes, I noticed some things were missing from my firefox screen - irritating.

Fortunately(?), I'm still running Vista on my lappie, so, that appears to be the extent of my issues.

I actually miss Vista sometimes... :/

I've gotten more or less used to the app screen, which is why it was strange when all the Microsoft buttons disappeared!

Yeah...I don't know what I'm getting for my next computer, but it's not Windows 8 anything. I ought to go get it...

Yeah, that would be disconcerting!

ugh m windows 8.1 hasn't done that yet and I hope it doesn't. I'm not impressed with it either.

Ditto on Firefox.

That IS cool about the world's most interesting man

The best I can say is I'm getting USED to Win8 (8.1), but I can't say I LIKE it.

ditto and whatever update it did today has truly messed everything up. Yahoo isn't staying connected. Word has a collapsed. I'm looking for viruses now.

I read that article on the World's Most Interesting Man a couple of days ago and was pretty impressed.

I...would have no idea what movies describe me.

I think both of us do FreeKibble and the Animal Rescue Site One-Click -- we always seem to have seen the same articles they link to! :)

I know, it was HARD. TV Shows might (MIGHT) be easier.

Yes, we both seem to do that. :D

TV Shows. Hmm. Well...The Addams Family comes to mind.

I immediately went to "Angel" and "Babylon 5," although you're not far wrong with "Addams Family." :)

Well, I'd like to say Burn Notice, but I'm pretty sure I'm not that action-packed.

I would have trouble doing this with movies, but not with songs. For movies I'd have to think pretty hard to list 10 that express my personal qualities.

Maybe these, but I'm not sure:

1. Beauty and the Beast (Disney)
2. The Wizard of Oz
3. Lilo & Stitch
4. Real Genius
5. A Raisin in the Sun
6. Much Ado about Nothing
7. The Blues Brothers
8. A River Runs Through It
9. Harold & Maude
10. Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead
