(Mostly) Live from the City of Invalids

I've passed on the crud to Barb, so now SHE'S hacking and dragging around like I was a few days ago. Whee.

I seem to be on the road to recovery, but any exertion at all just wears me out. I just dragged the big Christmas box out to the shed and moved a few other boxes around, and I'm dying. I had to sit down again, panting and coughing. The dog is most unhappy with us, since we can't get enough energy to get up and walk him. I will take him to the pet store later, because we MUST have cat food (the cats aren't all that happy with us, either). In any case, it's taken almost four days to take down and pack away Christmas (normally something that takes about two hours, tops), and I'm still not done.

Overall, despite a pleasant time with family, some good dinners and good conversation, this hasn't been the best of holiday seasons. Two weeks away from home, then two full weeks+ sick, makes for a hectic and not entirely good time.

Still, I can't complain too much. Hopefully come Monday I'll be well enough to get back to work and see if things can get back to "normal." More or less.

::sends healing thoughts:: I know - and hate - that bone-deep exhaustion.

Yeah, the hacking cough! I've been so sick...couldn't really eat or anything. Almost passed out a couple of times going to the store to get TP and other stuff. Steve is home, thank the gods, and nevermore will he be gone again, and just walking to Chilis for dinner and the Big Lots for earbuds almost knocked us both out...
