Cranky Old Woman

I have found I don't much like going out during the week, especially when I don't get home until nearly ten. I understand that many of my friends are startled that there is a 4 A.M., but that's when I normally get up. Either I want to get to the gym for a workout before I go to work at 7 A.M., or I get to work at 5 A.M. for overtime. Either way, I Get Up Early, and I am no longer a college student who gets along just fine on four hours of sleep.

Gripe, gripe, gripe.

That said, of course I had a good time, as I always do despite my whining and complaining, and my friends should ignore me completely when I do that. I was, however, extremely exhausted all the next day and was in bed at eight the next night. /cranky old woman

I have finally updated my writing blog: nightmaresaloon It's more Doctor Who fic.

I also finished my ghost story, which needs a title and an interested reader to tell me what's wrong with it.

Harper-Voyager is taking unsolicited manuscripts for the first half of this month. Ring of Fire is currently in no state for anyone to see it, but Long Way Home is finished and has even been newly beta'd (except for the last chapter and epilogue), so I may submit that. *crossed fingers*

I'm thinking of submitting Killian's story

that is very very early to be getting up (then again at that time I've only been asleep about 2 hours)

That would be a good one. I enjoyed it a lot.

I know, I know -- but I haven't stayed up that late regularly since I was just out of college (unless I was actually WORKING nights). I've been on the early shift for nearly 15 years now, it's not like this is a new schedule or anything.

yeah, once you adjust to a shift, it's okay. next semester sucks since my start times are different every day

I'm actually reasonably pleased with Long Way Home (although I wish I could come up with a better title) -- I wish the last two chapters had been read/commented on already, though.

Titles are so hard

I want to change how I'm presenting Killian's synesthesia since it's too over the top in the beginning and forgotten by the end and I wanted to make O'Connor look more ill but otherwise I'm pretty happy with Splinters

I have your chapter up in my queue to edit but I'm not sure how soon I could get that to you I mean I could send it early

If you're willing and have time to do it this week, that would be cool -- we have until October 14 to submit. (And if you're willing, I could throw you the epilogue, too -- it's real short.)

i should have it typed in within the hour or so. I guess you could but I'm not sure if/when I can get to that (maybe wednesday)

I find if I get 4 or 5 hours sleep somewhere between 1 AM and 7 AM I can go for quite a while, but eventually it catches up and I need an 8- or even 9-hour night.

Neil Gaiman is too damn good at, well, everything.

Yeah, if I can catch up on the night I lost, then it's all right -- if I do go out in the middle of the week, Thursday is better than Tuesday, then if I have to play catch up, it's Saturday already! :)

Yes, he is.

Just wishes I can get rid of my insomnia. Though even at age 30, I still don't want to get up before noon. And being on disability and going to college I can do that know. Lol, and Neil is always awesome, I am one those people too. I don't notice social things unless it hits me right in the face.

On weekends I've been known to sleep as late as around ten or so, depending on how late we stayed up on Friday or Saturday, but naturally I seem to get up around six or seven.

Neil is awesome. :)
