Things and places and other items possibly of interest

Okay, this is one that's floating around that might be fun --

Name a CD you own that no one else on your friends list does: I could be really cheap here, because I have a couple CDs I KNOW no one else owns, unless you, too, are a reviewer who has several promotional copies of CDs which haven't been released yet... but instead I'm going to say Trophy Husbands Walk With Evil. I'd almost venture to say no one owns EITHER of their albums, but I know I gave a copy of Dark and Bloody Ground to laughingmagpie myself. ;)

Name a book you own that no one else on your friends list has: I actually bet I have a bunch, but I'm going to choose Legends and Lies: Great Mysteries of the American West by Dale L. Walker

Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that no one else on your friends list does: Heartworn Highways (A documentary about the evolution of Americana music featuring Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, and a very young Steve Earle)

Name a place you have visited that no one else on your friends list has: Has anyone out there been to the top of Cinnamon Pass (elevation 12,640 feet) in the San Juan branch of the Rocky Mountains (other than rahirah, of course)? Since mostly I've just been to normal areas of the American Southwest, it's a pretty narrow field, though. I may be the only person here who's been to the old Cajun House in Scottsdale, though (and it's not even the Cajun House anymore).

This was a pretty fast week, all things considered. I finished edits on an ancient Tai-Pan story to surprise genebreashers, managed to finish pencils on illos for a Tai-Pan story (although I'm not happy with them--I can't draw anymore! WAH!), but I need to scan them and send them, since TECHNICALLY my deadline was yesterday (gulp!), and even did some scenes for "the book." I have a couple reviews due next week, too.

November 2 cannot come too soon for me. It will tell me whether I can breathe easy and continue to stay my own course, or blow my brains out (or move to Canada).

Rhetorical question of the day: If Dove is supposed to be a moisturizing soap, then why do my hands now feel all dry and icky having been washed with Dove?
