Johnny Depp has the most lovely hands...

I think McCartney's voice is going. The song is lovely, but he doesn't sound... well, right, I guess. Of course, he's gonna be 70 this year, so considering, he's doing awesome.

Yesterday was my vampire, Sean Patrick's, birthday. He's 149 this year. :) (For some reason I seem to like April 16, as it's also Raif's birthday -- he's a werewolf, and is 62 this year, unless I finally decide to move his birth year and make him younger and his stories less historical...)

Speaking of fiction, I'm going to try this:

I'm going to use my writing journal, nightmaresaloon, because I have been decidedly lax in using it (or doing much of anything lately other than working and collapsing). What I'm thinking is I will post 100 ficlets, shorts, or even short stories (possibly chapters). We shall see. Lately it's been TIME holding me back, so while I can't start it tonight (I HAVE to finish my writer's critiques), I hope to do so this week sometime.

Of course, more overtime was called today -- I need to try and understand the logic of the Corporate Mind, because I think it's super-ultra-condensed Pointy-Haired-Boss-ness at it's absolute finest. In trying to combine all of our units across the Enterprise, they're having us all work the servers across the country, east to west -- which has resulted, the last two days, in everyone getting to the West servers at around 5:30 pm PST... a half-hour before we all close (East works until 9pm EST, which is, coincidentally enough, 6pm PST). So now instead of only Central being behind, we ALL are, because, unsurprisingly, for us in the West to work on the East's servers results only in us being excruciatingly S L O W, firstly because we're working across three servers (with approximately 100 people all accessing the same servers at the same time--which, the programmers assured us, would result in no slowdowns at all), and secondly because we're unfamiliar with the state-specific rules and documents for the east coast states.

Urgh. Since I man the help desk, I'm the one fielding all the complaints from our own West customers, who don't understand why it's suddenly taking two days for their faxes to get to the files.

ANYWAY... Barb is wondering if I may have caught a milder version of her yuckiness, since my suspected "food poisoning" is lingering, and seems to attack when I've eaten something greasy or oily (tonight we had pesto). /TMI
