And Once Again

Okay, after an evening of being frustrated by LJ again (I wrote a comment and went to post, and that's when it went down), I did things with my Dreamwidth journal, including changing the name back to Wildrider (why mess with a classic?). Of course, it can only cross-post here, and not to Twitter, but hey, can't have everything (yes, dang it, I like Twitter. I blame mustangsally78, who first got me hooked...). I still don't want to migrate over, but I like having the backup...

Ten Impressive Trees

We need to stay here one day, we really do...

That photo is truly old-school. :-)

It's an awesome motel, one of the few really nifty Route 66 things left! (On this trip we finally stopped at the old movie-set fort up on the edge of the reservation, also along old Route 66, but because no one remembers F-Troop anymore, they'd taken down all reference to the show that was shot there! I was sadly disappointed.)

Happy Weekend!

F-TROOP! Awesome. I didn't know it was up there, or I would have had the ex drive that way when we were up in that region. Then again, she would have had no idea what F-Troop was and why it was cool.

For years we passed it and the signs all said "See where F-TROOP was filmed!" with pictures of the cast and all that stuff, and somehow we never had the time to stop -- so come the year we finally did.... it was just a movie set, with very little information about what had actually been filmed there and why it existed at all. I was sad.

God, I loved that show. :)
