Okay, not really, but it was a quote I saw tweeted recently, and it struck me humorous.

I somehow managed to not post the last few days, although I did take a gigantic step and published a writer's blog. Off to a slow start, but at least it's a START! I'm doing something! I'm going to make it my focus to get something posted at least once a week. Perhaps that will actually MAKE ME WRITE.

I heard a lot of noise coming from the street and went outside to see a couple of boys daring to fly a kite near the wires:

World Champion Sleeper:

Have been pretty good this week, got in a couple of workouts (go, me), and appear to have actually dropped back a few pounds (knock wood). Maybe I was serious about that stress problem, which appears to have also disappeared. No, it's not running smooth as glass, but my team is doing very well, and I don't have to stress about getting things done anymore, because that's someone else's problem. Woot.

Someone I follow on Twitter was recommending this Superman documentary (Look! Up In the Sky! It's Superman!), and it really is pretty awesome. (It's why it's taking me hours to write this post, which isn't really much of a post, so I'll post it and watch the rest of the show.)

I wound up being busy today, but we should make writing dates.

If "Get Out of There, Cat" ever accepts new photos, you should definitely send one of Churro. He's practicing his cuteness.

Yeah, he's DEFINITELY "Get Out Of There Cat" material -- he's taken to climbing up my sweaters, walking across the top of the hangers, and climbing into the TOP OF THE CLOSET. If he weren't so adorable, I'd have to kill him.

Bwahahaha! He's very enterprising, and a bit of a mixer. :-)

Yay workouts and you!

Yay, Friday and 3-day weekend!

those kids with the kite. (shudder)

BWAHAHAHAH to cat in a wastepaper basket.

Congrats on your writing blog!

Well, they did a pretty good job (and didn't lose the kite!), considering our street. I was impressed. I watched for a while and took a few pictures.

Silly cat.

That's a good thing, they didn't lose the kite! I used to go to the Castillo de San Marco and watch the guys fly their kites near the fort. (And sometimes get into trouble for doing tricks too close to the fort walls.)

Churro is a bad boy. I like the kite if not the location in which to fly it

I see the writing journal from your tweets. Have not had time to read it mind you

also I need to learn how to do rss feeds of stuff like that.

glad the stress is lessening up

Churro is decidedly bad. He's been climbing up my cardigans in the closet so he can sit on the upper shelf. This does not please me.

I finally realized who you are (JanaDinardo) -- #rightontheball

I haven't set mine up as an RSS, but it's available on the TypePad site I chose (they're giving me a free trial, I'll see if I like it, but so far, it's not bad).

that would definitely NOT please me either.

snort. sorry about that. You're probably thinking why is some erotica writer following me and my wife?

nods nods, there are a couple other blogs I would like to follow that aren't LJ but eh, then that would just be more time i need to eke out of a day

I checked and saw you were a writer, so I followed back, but didn't CONNECT it was you until I saw the Tweet about the cat named Soul. Then I went "duh." :D

I just hope I have the balls to follow through!

good luck

I'm finding it extremely hard to get annoyed at Monsieur, since he's only 10 mos old, which I figure is about 1 1/2 in cat years. He's fully mobile, but doesn't yet have the comprehension and the sense to not do stupid stuff. We realize we should have kitten-proofed the house. It seems you're getting the same kind of thing with Churro. (There's also something incredibly hard about saying NO to a face like that, I'm sure.)

Yay for workouts and writing! Boo for kids trying to become the next unintentional Ben Franklin!

It is hard to get mad at him, dang it, because he's Cuteness Overload, but ARGH, that CAT! He absolutely lives to climb into wastebaskets and shove out everything (and find used Q-tips, which are apparently the Greatest Toys Ever). He also likes to climb in my closet, usually up my cardigans, so he can get to the upper shelf. I'm sure he snagged my grey sweater this morning before I could extract him...

Our kittens like q-tips, too! We've also discovered that straws appear to be the BEST TOY EVAR OMG.

I've been brainwashed by Churro's pictures -- he can do anything and be anywhere and I'd go, "Aww..."
