ZOMG, It's the Rapture!

I'm not sure if I want it to end before Doctor Who, or after, since I know it's a two-parter. I'd hate to have to miss the second part.

This journal title.

And, of course, a Rapture Day prank from ThinkGeek.

Let's see, I skipped a day, so... I need something for Day 237 & 238.

I think this one was called "cordial cups" or something -- just brilliant color!

If you ever wanted to know what one looked like, this is it:

I posted the first song lyric I thought of when I answered yesterday's entry; but unlike a lot of people, I can't really say that's my FAVORITE. I have as many favorite songs (and lyrics) as there are leaves on a tree. For example, the second line that titles my journal, from The Decemberists' Engine Driver:

And I am a writer, a writer of fictions
I am the heart that you call home
And I've written pages upon pages
Trying to rid you from my bones

Or heck, an old old favorite from Aerosmith:

Every time I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face gettin' clearer
The past is gone
It went by like dusk till dawn

From my buddy Dave Insley (support this man, he deserves it and he needs more fans!):

The day death came and found me here
Where I stood beside life's road
That travels far and wide and back
And ends in winter's cold
Our summer's gone and I am done
Dead and buried beneath the grass
As I rot into the soul I drift into her past
It's not that I deserved a life
Any sweeter than my own
I just wanted to see what grew from the seeds I've sown.

From Don McLean:

I've got nothing on my mind
Nothing to remember
Nothing to forget
I've got nothing to regret
But I'm all tied up on the inside
No one knows quite what I've got
And I know that outside
What I used to be I'm not
You know I've heard about people like me
But I never made the connection
They walk one road to set them free
And find they've gone the wrong direction
But there's no need for turning back
'Cause all roads lead to where I stand
And I believe I've walked them all
No matter what I may have planned.

Oops, premature post.

And Mike Nesmith:

You can't try and walk down two different roads
And look to both of them to bring you home
You must take your own way
Though it is the long way
And sometimes you find yourself alone
I know, this all happened once before.

Sometimes you think I'll wait
But he who hesitates is lost
This is not just a game
It's the problem of creation and only meditation
Can make your mind and age the same
I know, this all happened once before.

You'd better move along
Don't wait and let the dawn and its friendly sunrise
Catch you at rest.
Do what you must, no man can criticize you
As long as what you're doing is your best.
I know, this all happened once before.
