Title Space Here

My doctor says, after listening to me (which he's actually really good at) and prodding my tender belly, that it sounds to him like I have a gastrointestinal infection, for which he gave me Nexium for the next five days and we'll see after that, if I continue to have symptoms I go back. I've been careful what I'm eating, too; cutting way down on soda and I haven't drunk any alcohol in the last several days. Also eating way less per sitting, since if I eat too much (and my stomach is still deciding what that means) it hurts (although not so bad).

But on the whole, much better.

From the garden:

I understand fans who don't like things. I have things I don't like that other people don't like, but I don't go around continually complaining about it. I loved Doctor Ten. No one can say I didn't. But I'm a Doctor Who fan, and I love Eleven, too. So it kinda bothers me when David Tennant fangirls whine and gripe about how horrible Matt Smith is. So they weren't Doctor Who fans at all, they just happened onto the show because the object of their affection was for a brief time the Doctor. It's worse than the complaints Peter Davison had to put up with because he wasn't Tom Baker. (And, to his credit, he's gone down as a great Doctor.) But some of us DO like Eleven and think he's pretty awesome, and even like the direction Moffat has taken the show. It's okay you don't like him. Awesome. But stop putting him (and the entire show) down because YOU don't like it anymore. It's been over a season now, get over it. Tennant's moved on to other things, and us Doctor Who fans are happy with Eleven. Eventually we'll likely be happy with Twelve, Thirteen, and however many others come along (whether they finish at 14 or not, I suppose, depends on how successful it remains). I can't recall I ever went around griping that I think Buffy and Angel were the Worst Couple Ever and them being together was bad for both characters, but if I did, I hereby apologize to all who think they were a Perfect Romance.

I forgot what office these two horses show the way into, but a few years ago someone climbed up and made one of them a unicorn. The horn's been up there ever since (the facing horse has remained a horse).

Craigslist actually works. I put up pictures of the old, unworking fridge that's been standing our backyard since the remodel, and someone wanted it within two days. Wow. He's coming to get it here this evening. Yay. Of course, that means we need to clean the back porch.

I love the unicorn. If I ever get out there to visit, you have to take me to see him.

I was very pleased when the horn appeared.

And definitely -- it's real close to home (across from our Costco).

Even better, he's not a long way away!

hope you're feeling better. there have been some seriously nasty GI infections floating around this year.

I hear you on the doctor's.

Yes -- I'm watching it. I just hope I stop feeling so tired soon!

I just like 'em all, really. (Hence the icon!)

I never thought I would, but every time I see another "new to me" episode, I'm a fan all over again, of whatever Doctor it was I was watching -- if pinned down, I do think Doctor Two is my FAVORITE favorite, but I do love 'em all.

i'm not sure i've ever seen back that far. I didn't care much for Tom Baker but i haven't seen that in 20 years either

I've seen at least a little with each Doctor, but as I've said, #4 (Tom Baker) isn't among my very favs. I mean, he has some great stories, but he's not all that for me -- I know to a lot of folks he IS the Doctor, but I wasn't watching when he was about the only one around.

yeah i have friends who very much feel Baker was the only doctor and haven't seen any of the new stuff. it took to getting to #9 to get my interest

maybe i should netflix the older stuff and watch it with adult eyes

I've actually found I like just about everything with Doctor Five (Peter Davison), even with Adric (almost, but not quite, the worse companion ever). But there's just something totally awesome about Doctor Two, even though so many of his adventures were sadly lost (there are a LOT of Two's adventures that seemingly will never be recovered).

Three rocks, too.

yes either you or evil little dog have mentioned that about #2 before.

I'm glad you're starting to feel better. And I love both the flower and the unicorn. I love it that someone actually did that, and then the powers that be let it stay that way.

I remember the first time we noticed the horn, and I always wondered how it was done, and it's stayed that way ever since! I have to get a shot when the sun is up over the building, sometime (it's on the west side of the street, and the tall buildings were blocking the afternoon light).

Glad you are feeling better!
Personally I loved 9. And 10. And 11....so, Bah. to the haters. I'm with you just get over it.

Also. The unicorn wins. It's cool that no one "fixed" it.

YES! (Hence my icon. I never can decide Who's Who is best!)
