Friday morning

I have to stop thinking of the fact that vacation is over, the weekend is here, and I have to go back to work on Monday because I want to enjoy what's left to me.

My new wine glasses are larger than I had expected, so I think I drink a little more wine from them than my other stemware. They're so pretty, though, I don't care. I kind of want the other glasses in the sets but we REALLY don't need any more glasses!

We're considering going shopping here soon. We're not doorbusters (I would far rather sleep), but we do like to shop once in a while.

Yesterday after dinner I laid down on the sofa for a second and was out like a light for almost half an hour. Then I inexplicably had energy and was able to get a good start on the cleanup (which is almost finished, but the turkey roaster is still soaking). We used the good dishes, which means careful hand-washing before we put them away.

Last night we watched the Craig Ferguson Doctor Who special. Yay for Craig, probably the only late-night host (or American talk-show host) who would dedicate the entire show to what is here basically a geek-centric cult show. It was a fun episode. Still have nine more Craig episodes to clean out, but most of the rest is done. And, of course, Sharktopus.

Those glasses are gorgeous. (For a second, my brain thought, "Wine glasses? Is that the snootier version of beer goggles?) Also, the Doctor Who special is one of my favorite Craig episodes EVER. Matt Smith was so so cute! His appearance finished whatever doubt I had about his Doctorly power to attract women, as I found him totally engaging and decided I'd follow him anywhere.

Hee hee hee. In many ways, yes.

It didn't take me very long to decide I was crazy about Doctor Eleventy. Matt has a real firm handle on being the Doctor; even the few week episodes in Series 5 had some great scenes in them.
