I'm making cupcakes for tomorrow's United Way bake sale, though, so I HAVE to go in.
Yesterday Silhouette had his checkup and booster vaccines. The doctor (not our regular vet, but the other one in the office) recommended blood tests, but unlike Dr. Temple, he neglected to tell me how much it would run, so I blithely said "yes, indeed," and then nearly passed out when I got the bill. (One nice thing -- once upon a time I wouldn't have had the money at all, but this time it just made me whimper and hand it over. A little less for next month's vacation, alas.) Anyway, Silly's lost more weight (sigh) and although they gave him "cats love the flavor!" glucosamine tabs for his arthritic hips, he won't touch anything I've put the powder in yet (neither his favorite Fancy Feast Salmon Flavor nor milk, which he loves) -- I have to get some sour cream and see if that works.
Another "nothing much" picture.
This is my wine rack. Barb and I found it at a consignment shop near here and paid $15 for it. I try to keep it reasonably well-stocked; I went from thinking I didn't like wine at all to being somewhat daring and liking to try new things, but I tend to lean toward sweet and semi-sweet whites, although white zins and roses are often quite nice. I prefer white Lambrusco to red (as is often the case, I seem to prefer the less healthy option... milk chocolate, white bread, etc., etc.)
It's getting warm again. I turned the air conditioner back on. (This was partly caused by having the oven on to bake cupcakes, and partly caused by it getting up to 98 degrees again.)
Hormones are kicking my ass. How long does stupid menopause last, anyway?
Only a month until Disneyworld. Squeee.
