Arizona summers...

...are NOT dry. Not completely, anyway. There is pretty close to a full-blown monsoon storm blowing up outside, and it's kicked the humidity up to around 20%. Which may sound pretty wimpy, but bear in mind it was 110F today, with a dewpoint of 50 degrees. Thus comes the monsoon. It's been so dry here that the few drops of rain at the airport (where official weather readings are taken) caused them to break in with the news.

And now for the fun stuff:

The Air Is Adhesive
The monsoon tantalizes and teases us, but there is no rain. The wind hasn't cooled the outside air enough for me to open a window, since it's still hotter than the inside temperature in the mid-80s. Feh! I want a rip-snortin', gully washin', shed topplin' monsoon storm, the kind folks out here take pictures of to prove to folks back East that it rains!

By the way, at first I read your vampire power as "corrosive teeth." That made for an intersting picture.

Yes, I know. :( It was funny watching them whoop about a few drops at Sky Harbor, though. :)

Re: The Air Is Adhesive
I felt something that wasn't quite a drop or a drip...more like an ant sneeze, really.
