Why is it that every single time there's a week technically shortened by a holiday, it always seems much longer? And it wasn't even that we had more work this week than usual, either; it was actually a pretty light week, work-wise, which was okay, because we spent a lot of time working on our art project for the upcoming Founder's Day festivities (there are a number of fun things about working for my company, and Founder's Day is one of them), building our fully recycleable department "Green Car" to display this year's slogans. It's so geeky, but hey, I got to play with Mod-Podge for two days instead of freezing at my desk doing data entry.
I've recently seen a couple of "Sexy Alien" articles, and neither of them mentioned Zhaan from Farscape, who, for my money, is about the sexiest alien ever committed to film (or video, whatever).
I was going through my Amazon wish list and was irritated to note a number of things I put on there which I still want are no longer being made (mostly television DVD sets, even some that are fairly recent). I assume in some cases it's because of Blu-ray, but I don't know about others. I wish I could afford to pick up a lot of them.
We're having a little trouble with teaching the cats how to use the cat-flap. Yesterday we discovered Silhouette has been indicating his displeasure by peeing in the dog's crate (I see he understands WHY we closed the cat bathroom door). We took the actual flap out and hope they'll use the HOLE. (Cats will go into any hole you don't want them to go through.)
There are no deep thoughts in my brain today. Merely light thoughts about nice chocolate-orange scones, the successful removal of the weeds from the driveway, and "should I do laundry today, or tomorrow?" Oh, and I should steam mop the kitchen floor. That's it.
