Things exploded into springtime this week -- last week when I got back from Vegas it was still cold and drizzly; within five days the mesquite burst into bloom (bright yellow EVERYWHERE), both the orange and the grapefruit have blossomed, the mustard in the yard sprung up knee-deep (it's the "mow every week" time of year), and everything but the wise deep desert plants have put forth blossoms. The gorgeous orchid tree near my office put out its clouds of purple as it does every year, making me wish I could afford to have our yellow grapefruit tree removed and an orchid tree planted, instead.
The Battle to Get Silhouette to Eat continues. The Aristocats "Salmon Dinner" was a hit, but the "Yellowfin Tuna with Wild Rice" not so much.
Went to a terrible, horrible place last night called "Half-Price Books." GAH. I spent far more than I should have. I found "The Complete Black-and-White Collection" of "ZOT!" as well as several other books I wanted/needed, and Volume II of "Futurama" and a $2 copy of "Our Mutual Friend." Bad, bad place, that. Must avoid at all costs (at least until after I pay the feds and a few other things).
I'm looking very forward to the arrival of Doctor Eleven in two weeks. Squee!
I hate it when I accidentally snag a dragon egg I wasn't trying for. Then I feel responsible for it...

Happy Caturday to all!
