Merry Christmas!

For the first time in some while, I slept as long as I liked. There is peace in the world this morning (at least in this little corner of my universe), with one cat sleeping on the bed with Barb, and the other perched on the back of the sofa looking out at a chilly morning (it's 47 F in Phoenix this morning). We have a lamb roast ready to go in later, I do plan on making rolls, we have green beans, mashed potatoes, and of course mint jelly. There is a Christmas log for later, and plenty of petit fours and Christmas candy.

Speaking of Christmas candy, my overcooked failed peanut butter fudge turned into very successful peanut butter TOFFEE (almost caramel, really). It's actually quite good, for those who like sticky, chewy candy (which Barb doesn't, so I have to make presents -- I took some of it to work).

My old hard drive doesn't appear to be working, either. It was pulled out of Willie, my old desktop computer (whom I loved with all my geeky heart), and has been in an external box for a while. I realized this morning it still had a lot of my old music on it, which would save me having to rip everything again, but I can't it to work, either. *is frustrated* At least I do still own most of what I ripped (some of it I may have given away once it was ripped, though); the worst is those old filksong tapes. They take forever to digitize and catalog (I guess good thing we saved those once I digitized them, too -- see why I never throw anything out?). And I hope I can get everything I bought back from the iTunes store... *SIGH*

But otherwise, looks to be a lovely Christmas morning! May it be warm and bright for all! {{hugs}}

Merry Christmas to you both.

I hope you don't lose too much on the hard drive

Merry Christmas!

I'm not at all sure what all is on that old drive -- most of it has been moved to this computer, I think, but probably a lot of old stories and such... not to mention the music!

I hope I can get either of these drives working, or find someone to help me recover data from them. Technology!

(That's my favorite holiday icon EVER.)

Mmmmm.... lamb...

The peanut butter toffee sounds wonderful! So glad it turned into something yummy and still useable!

Glad you guys had such a wonderful Christmas morning!

Thank you guys for the fun-looking card game! Goodness knows you made us into serious rabbit killers with that game! *g*

It's strange and sugary, now, but at least tasty!
