Humor and Happiness

sillymagpie turned me on to this, and I share it here with anyone who hasn't seen this marvelously silly cat (I thought nutmeg3 might enjoy, since Maru is reportedly part Scottish fold) -- go forth, and watch as many Maru videos as you can!

I was hoping to find Maru vs. the tiny plastic box, but there are dozens of Maru vids and the titles are in Japanese, so it's hit and miss. This cat is seriously addicted to boxes...

Hope everyone has something to make 'em smile today! Maybe I'll be able to write something sometime soon! *grin*

Adopt one today! * Adopt one today! * Adopt one today!

He's probably a straight-earred Fold, but whatever he is, I adore him. Kizzy used to do that box-slide thing when she was young, and it never failed to make me giggle.

His videos make me squeal with glee - I adore him, too! I could waste hours watching these vids!

I am a major Maru fangirl. Chase and I call him "Gatz's fat Japanese twin". He's a melon cat, too!

Re: Maru?
He is a melon cat!

I have to find the little plastic box one, 'cause that just makes me giggle like crazy.

Re: Maru?
Maru is an anime cat! He looks exactly like the fat kitties in anime.

Maru is hilarious! I love the way his feet splay out when he dives into a box. Dickens was sitting on the couch with me, wondering why I'm giggling at my laptop.

I've favorited a few Maru episodes, including the one where he sticks his head in the bag and wanders around.

I am most grateful to you for having introduced me to Maru!

Gad, it's hot! We were out in the back yard cleaning out the shed (so the termite guys can get to the slab)... eeg. I think we haven't been in there for years ("imagine the dust has been tread on by Nebuchanezzer...").

Yeah, and I'm moving stuff around in the apartment so the air conditioning can (hopefully) be fixed tomorrow. I was going to stop at the Cypress Grill (the pita place) in Town & Country this afternoon, but it was being torn apart by contractors. I don't know if they're remodeling or if they're out of business and the interior is being torn out. I hope only remodeling. I tried Saba up here, since rahirah recommended it, and it was good. They have meat dolmas, but I think I liked the ones at the Cypress Grill better (meat or not) because IRRC they had the Greek lemon sauce.

At any rate, I got a chance to cool down. Phew.
