Cajun Croc

Late post from yesterday

I missed a day. I don't recall why.

For one week, recommend/share:

Day one: a song
Day two: a picture
Day three: a book/ebook/fanfic
Day four: a site
Day five: a youtube clip
Day six : a quote
Day seven : whatever tickles your fancy

Many of my favorite quotes are from lyrics; the last several weeks I've been quoting extensively from the Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash album "Mile Markers" (which is my favorite); the current title of my journal is pulled from Dale Watson's "From the Cradle to the Grave."

I like Bob Dylan's "We always did feel the same we just saw it from a different point of view" and, of course, outside of lyrics, there's Ben Franklin's "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." I think about that one a lot when I'm going to the airport...

Anyway, will post more later; I have a massage appointment this afternoon and after the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH it took a full half-hour to re-boot this computer. *sigh*

Isn't that what LJ is usually all about, sharing what tickles our fancy?

But anyway, earlier I was reading nutmeg3's journal, wherein she posted mega cut pics of her sugar gliders, and Cairo took an interest in them (I missed some good shots before I got the camera):

So far, The Vampire Dairies is pretty meh. Fewer teen soap scenes, more vampires. Of course, these are young hot vampires, so I'm assuming they'll be fairly popular. Thus far for me, though, meh. Give me Spike and Angel and Nick Knight any day. As new teen soaps go, I prefer Glee.

I went looking for ticky-tacky gift shops located in Phoenix, but there aren't any; I have to go troll downtown Scottsdale. (To think, the only such places I've been able to find in the last few years have been in LAS VEGAS...) I need a copper chain necklace, and I live in the Copper State, you'd think I could find one, but since Phoenix is so wrapped up in urban suburbia, most of the places you can FIND stuff like that have moved to the far outskirts. I found a few on eBay, but it seems silly to buy one there...

My therapist says to soak my back (she said the muscles were all twisted and knotted, like I'd lifted something way too heavy for me while twisting, which does make me wonder, since the most strenuous thing I did on Monday was laundry), so I'm off to the tub.

Dragons are down at the moment, so no eggs.
