I become dejected

Or rejected. Again. I should be used to it by now.

Maybe I should quit fooling myself and give it up. Surround myself with cats and
dragons and just read other peoples' stuff.

And don't forget to click the dragons of cornerofmadness, nutmeg3, ishte, and evil_little_dog! (Not to mention the one who started it, melvh.)

And I should go make my dragon post public, so more people can help. Two of my eggs are already cracking!

Thanks!

I need to do that, too, but when I tried to get to the forum, I couldn't get in (I think it's a little busy). But I has my scroll!

sorry to hear it. I swear i'll never figure out what they want.

especially seeing the YA vampire romance I just had to review for a zine and it's like is there ANYTHING in here not a cliche?

I suppose my old writing teacher (Edward Abbey) was right - I write well, but I write crap. I never stopped writing crap, and it's beginning to look like I don't write it very well anymore, either. My crap isn't even good enough to share shelf space with other people's crap.

DOn't worry, every time I see a new truly awful vampire book on the market, I look at my own and wonder why is it not out there too

I think the double rejection right on top of all the hoopla over Twilight is what's made me so down on my own writing. If junk like that not only gets published, but gets a TV show made out of it and scores of slavering fangirls...??? I guess I make the mistake of trying to be original and non-gothic. *sigh*

I KNOW. I'm all excited. I have the pebble dragon too now. I know what comes out of the green flowery one and the stone one but I can't wait to see what pops out of a tiny paper egg...

this is just sad.

and i ran across Dale Watson's music today on emusic (legal download site that I keep winning music from the smirnoff ice under the cap game)

There is joy in baby dragons. Three of my green fellows are out, now, too. *bouncy*

Dale is the greatest. Sweet, sweet man, too. Always a perfect gentleman. (And he just can sing like no one else.)

okay then Dale is who I thought he was (I thought he was the one you've mentioned many time. I suck with names)

Goes to look...and look at my paper egg. It went frmo a litttle crack to monster hole in a day

Keep trying! And keep writing! I believe Chelsea Quinn Yarbro admits that it was something like the SIXTH book she wrote that she finally made her first sale with, and now she's got god knows how many published...
