Darn it all to heck.

When I installed my new version of XP (thanks again to fenchurche), it moved the system disk back to C. (It moved itself to F when we had to install Win2000 after the Sony Records debacle.) So I have to re-install all my programs. Most are working fine, but I cannot get Firefox to recognize my bookmarks!!! I can see them, both on C and on F, but I can't get the browser to import them!

I iz frustrated.

Cairo is not recovering from his trip to the vet. He is moody and withdrawn and I am worried. He's not been in my face all day long as he normally is (I'm also wondering if he's wigged out by my boot, which seems to disturb him mightily). He's so deeply neurotic...

I have been in and out of mildly serious pain; enough that I got up in the middle of the night and took some of the Percocet; it got me back to sleep, at least.

And I have to find WordPerfect, too. I was in the middle of working on my Writer's Link entry for this week...

Stupid computers.

can't help you with the computer stuff

Poor Cairo. I used to wish Iktomi would have considered any medical doo dads frightening. The brat liked toplay with anything new which wasn't fun the time I had to come home with an acid probe (which meant an NG tube up the nose and into the stomach) He thought that monitor was HIS to play with.

Nope, Cairo will play with any packing material that comes in the house, but he is facing the boot I'm wearing with enormous trepidation...

Ah, kitty cats! I couldn't do without 'em. Cuervo and Silhouette are both perfectly fine and all over me as usual, though.

I am soooooooo glad Dickens decided my CPAP unit could be tolerated but not messed with. Initially he seemed to think it was another variant of the Vacuum Monster.

He's getting a little bit better - he came to be petted this morning, although when I moved my foot he froze and watched it warily!

Poor Cairo. My cats tend to get freaked by the vet, each in their own way. And though I don't understand your computer woes, I wish you luck in solving them, as well as in getting past the pain.

He's a neurotic li'l fella. I have to coddle him severely...

rahirah figured some of it out, but not all. Computers! Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em! *g*

Awww, poor Cairo! It's strange the things cats will decide are threatening. You never know. Toccatta once spent an evening regarding the futon she had known for years as if it had suddenly become a dangerous alien entity. I was living in San Francisco at the time, ahd I was half convinced we were going to have an earthquake. (We didn't.)

BTW, there are a couple of albums of music from The Simpsons over at Bookman's. They are well hidden now among the other CDs. (Muahaha!) Let me know if you want one. The CD price is $8.

((((HUGS HUGS HUGS)))) For the misery and pain! Thank heaven for pain pills, eh?

We have to check them against the album I have already... *g* But yay!
