Daisy a Day

I'd like to extend a gigantic THANK YOU!!! to fenchurche for the lovely and thoughtful flowers!!!

Big hugs!!!!

In other news, the surgery went swimmingly; I laid down on the table, and then the next thing I knew I was waking up in post-op. Everyone seemed pleased with the outcome, I drank some water, and then off to home. I slept most of the morning and felt much better by afternoon. I have only minor pain, but lots of painkillers (I doubt I'll have to use the heavy-hitters--Percocet--he gave me, the Lortab and Celebrex seem to be fine). Now I'm hobbling around pretty well in a walking boot, using crutches on and off (although our house is so small and there's so much to lean on I don't seem to need them for much). I didn't sleep very well last night because I wasn't horribly comfortable, but that should get better. My wonderful rahirah has been around, taking care of me and making me homemade tomato soup (yum!). Now she's cleaning the cat's bathroom, and being much more thorough than I usually am.

I have been getting a little writing done, though, on what is probably a novella of some sort; I have no idea where something like it could be sold around, but it's a story I want to tell -- my universe, Sean Patrick, the mid-1930's. I'm doing okay with the time frame (I found a great site where you can check on the exchange rates for every world currency to the dollar for pretty nearly the entire last century) -- I had a question about it that I was going to ask my friends' list, but since I'm working on it out on the other computer, I didn't have the immediacy of the Internet right at hand (I could hook up the cable out on that one, but the extra cable we have is just a little too short and I can't reach my recliner). To that, I may head back out there now; I just wanted to post a quick update and say thanks to Fen, but I think I want to put foot back up now.

I {hug} my flist!!!

I'm so glad your recovery continues to go well. Just don't try dancing to Dwight for the immediate future. *g*

Ooo, interesting Web site. Share?

You seem much more mobile and energetic than I expected. Glad this surgery has been easier on you than the last!
