I don't know what it means, but there's something very... existentialist about it, somehow.

Uneventful weekend. I got up early yesterday and went to have a workout while Barb waited for the guy to come and fix her car window (someone or something broke it while she was at work Friday), then we went shopping with her mom, went to Costco, then came home and prepared a pot of corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes while watching The Quiet Man, my favorite St. Pat's movie.

Today I slept late, and have done almost nothing useful except go through some posts making commentary for a writer's group I belong to, then tried to do a little actual writing myself while watching movies and, alas, eating like a... well, like a human with a serious eating disorder. But it's hard to resist that cake. Good thing it's almost gone. Weekends are entirely too short.

Dadaist spam! It's word jazz! I wonder what spammers expect to get from such posts, or what the heck they were even trying to say...

I wonder if it's just been put through a word generator so much it's no longer what it was supposed to be.

Other than that, you got me!

<< I found the box empty. I fried an egg. >>

That's my favorite line. Maybe this sort of spam is just some poet's way of trying to get his work read.

Hey, that was my favorite line too! Not too surprising, I guess.

Guess what! Sillymagpie's gonna visit this weekend. She doesn't know it yet but I'm going to send her back stuffed full of Texas barbecue (unless she doesn't eat meat), in which case we'l go to Mother's and I'll stuff her full of barbecued tofu).

I know! I'm very jealous. But her trip doesn't coincide with ANY of my favorite acts actually IN Austin - Dale Watson plays the Broken Spoke on Friday night (although he'll be at the Travis County Expo Center on Wednesday), while Roger Wallace is at Ginny's Little Longhorn on Saturday, but she'll be back by then! But STILL... I sure would love to take in either place, no matter who's playing.

She eats meat. Trust me on that one. She'll love the barbeque (as would I!).

She'll be in town for Dale Watson if he's playing there Friday! I live sooooo close to the Broken Spoke it's not even funny. I'm sure you're horrified that we don't even take advantage of it lots of times!

We'll take her to the County Line or someplace. The funny thing is that I don't even eat barbecue any more cuz I don't eat red meat!

The other cool thing about her visiting is that it will make us clean our house.

Well, I live that close to the Rhythm Room and only make it there when someone special's playing (like Dale Watson!!!) - you never take advantage of that sort of thing in your own city, right? *g* He plays Austin all the time but he's only come to Phoenix twice in the last six years...

SOMEday Barb and I will get down there, you betcha!
