The world's laziest weekend doesn't really deserve a post to commemorate it, but where else would I post meme results?

Does anyone out there want to beta a 20,000-word novella I'd like to submit to the Samhain Publishing Tickle My Fantasy Anthology? I'm afraid it has no plot, but once again I'm too close to my own work to tell.

Things accomplished this weekend:

Celebrated Barb's birthday with Sushi (delicious);
Made a tres leches cake (also delicious);
Cleaned the kitchen some (did not finish the floors);
Dusted a little (not the bedroom);
Worked on cutting down the novella to 20,000 words from 23,000 (why is it so much easier to put words in than take them out?);
Watched all the stuff from the week on Tivo;
Realized they've moved House to Mondays, which means I may have to upgrade to a four-channel DVR sooner rather than later;
Sat around letting my cold go away (I caught it somewhere around Tuesday, I think, but managed to worm my way through the week);
Did mostly nothing at all else.
